Spanish rolls "Ensaimadas"



Very tasty buns, soft, airy, layered in structure
with a variety of fillings.


for 9 buns we need:
450 g of flour
1 tsp and a half of dry yeast
75 g of sugar
0.5 tsp salt
1 large egg
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
180 ml of water
100 g melted butter

Filling:
500 ml of milk
1 cup of sugar
vanilla stitch
3 yolks
3 tbsp vanilla starch

Jam or confiture

Chocolate paste

Preparation of the dough:
In the bowl of the mixer, sift the flour, add salt, sugar, egg, vegetable oil and water.
Knead the dough, it should be soft, elastic and do not stick to your hands.
Cover and leave in a warm place. While not increase in two.

Preparation of the filling:
In the saucepan combine milk, sugar, vanilla and heat to a boil.
In a bowl, mix yolks with starch, so that there are no lumps.
Pour a little hot milk into the yolks, mix.
Pour the mass into the hot milk and mix. Continuing to cook on low heat
before thickening.
Cool it down.

Forming and baking:
Approached dough batter.
Divide into equal 9 parts.
Lubricate the surface of the table with oil.
Each part of the test must be rolled very thinly to a large rectangle.
Lubricate with butter.
Lay out the long edge of the filling roll into a roll, and then a snail.
Form the buns on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
Top with butter and leave for 20 minutes, covered with a towel.
Bake in a heated oven for up to 180 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool on the grate.

Decoration:
Sprinkle plenty of powdered sugar.
