dough:
2 cups flour (280 g)
100 g sugar
4 tbsp powdered sugar (32 g)
a pinch of salt
200 g cold butter (cut into cubes)
2 yolks
Dried fruit and nuts filling:
300 grams of dried fruits (figs, apricots, cranberries, prunes or your choice)
100 grams of nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts)
200 g butter
250 g brown sugar
100 g of honey
a pinch of salt
3 tbsp cream
Dough preparation:
Mix together flour, sugar, powdered sugar, salt and butter in a mixer bowl,
before the formation of crumbs.
Add the yolks to knead the dough so that it is collected in the bowl (do not knead for a long time!).
We spread the dough on baking paper and spread it out into a rectangle with a thin layer.
Transfer to a baking sheet and put in the freezer for 20 minutes.
We bake in the oven heated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes until light golden brown.
Filling:
Dried fruits and nuts cut into small cubes.
Put sugar and butter in a saucepan and set on medium heat.
Stir the oil to completely melt.
Add honey and cream, stir and remove from heat.
Add dried fruits, nuts and stir until smooth.
Put the stuffing on top of the dough and bake for another 15 minutes.
Cool on the grid, cut into squares.
